James Kerr founded Kerr & Kerr Partners in 2014, aged just 25 at the time.
He is a natural problem solver and developed a keen interest in Victoria’s property and corporate arenas after completing his Bachelor of Laws at Monash University Clayton in 2010.
As the young leader of Kerr & Kerr Partners, James’ fresh perspective and calculated approach to the world of law and business has seen him emerge as a charismatic practitioner dedicated to achieving exceptional results for his clients.
Driven by the opportunity to add value, James has cultivated a stable of well-regarded business associates that has seen him grow Kerr & Kerr Partners into one of Melbourne’s most dynamic boutique firms.
Through harnessing traditional legal practices and strategies, as well as embracing the latest digital innovations, this has given James and his team a competitive edge in the marketplace, resulting in direct time and cost benefits for the practice’s clientele.

Carlie Kerr is a key member of the Kerr & Kerr Partners team, heading up the finance division and operational aspects of the business.
With a multi-faceted role encompassing law practice trust accounting, accounts management, invoicing, payroll and budgeting, Carlie’s work at the firm continues to set it up for success and future expansion.
Currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration at RMIT, with plans to enrol in a Juris Doctor course following her graduation, Carlie’s sights are firmly set on becoming a practicing lawyer in the coming years.
Amidst her professional responsibilities, Carlie takes immense pride in balancing her career at Kerr & Kerr Partners with the everyday responsibilities of being a mother. She is married to the practice’s founder, James Kerr, and they have two beautiful young daughters.
As a seasoned professional, Carlie’s inquisitive nature, passion for learning and innate Type A working style has seen her entrusted with integral administrative roles.
Carlie thrives in a fast-paced environment where she can continually challenge herself and absorb knowledge from her colleagues, while contributing to the rich camaraderie and culture at Kerr & Kerr Partners.

Linda Kerr brings a wealth of life experience to her role as a Lawyer at Kerr & Kerr Partners.
Born and raised in California, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) at UCLA in her college years, before taking the plunge and moving to Australia permanently aged 25.
Linda attended Monash University as a mature age student, completing her Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) studies in 2019, which included an exchange stint in Florence, Italy.
Thanks to Linda’s diverse educational background, this provides her with an impressive ability to approach and effectively communicate complex legal matters to both her clients and colleagues.
Within Kerr & Kerr Partners, Linda is responsible for overseeing Wills & Estates and Family Law matters, while also lending her expertise to commercial matters when needed.
